The Global Competitiveness Program aims to identify the impediments to the development of a globally competitive Australian agricultural sector and supports research investments on options and strategies for removing these impediments.  It has a particular focus on global agricultural trade reform, the results of which have been used by farmer groups and the Australian Government in trade negotiations.

This program is funded from RIRDC core funds provided by the Australian Government. Preference will be given to project applications which are also supported by funds from industry sources.
