Strong local leadership is vital to robust rural communities.

To meet our vision of a more profitable, dynamic and sustainable rural sector, RIRDC believes we have a role in helping develop the leadership that those communities need.

This program aims to build research capacity through research scholarships and other fellowships and to support selected leadership capacity building initiatives including the RIRDC Rural Women's Award, the ABC's rural youth initiative Heywire and the Australian Rural Leadership Program.
