The 2005–06 Budget Profile
TABLE 1 - EXPLANATORY NOTES
1. All Research Co-ordination and
Management (RC&M) percentages have been derived by dividing total RC&M
expenditure excluding levy collection costs by total program expenditure
including communications and RC&M expenditure.
2. Other income includes interest earned on funds held by the Corporation, publication sales revenue, royalties and project income.
3. The level of program budget specified is dependent upon nominated external contributions. In the event that these nominated external contributions are not forthcoming then the corresponding budget allocations will be relinquished.
4. See Appendix 2, Tables 1 through 15 for detailed budgets in respect of RIRDC's Industry Sub Accounts.
5. Eliminations on consolidation represent Program Management Service Fees (cost recovery basis) applied to Industry Sub Accounts by RIRDC Core ($382,000) and RIRDC Core contributions to R&D programs of applicable Industry Sub Accounts ($3,271,823). The recipient Sub Accounts are Tea Tree Oil ($254,000), Horses ($350,000), Fodder Crops ($367,073), Deer ($52,000), Buffalo ($8,750), Agroforestry ($1,000,000) and Human Capital, Communications & Information Systems ($1,240,000).
6. At the time of the Portfolio Budget Statement estimates, RIRDC anticipated receiving an additional $200,000 in external contributions to the Rice Sub Account. This however is not expected to eventuate, thus budgeted external contributions and research expenditure have been reduced by this amount.
7. At the time of the Portfolio Budget Statement estimates, RIRDC did not anticipate receiving an additional $50,000 in external contributions to the Tea Tree Oil Sub Account. At the May 2005 Board meeting, the Board agreed to match this industry contribution and thus budgeted external contributions and research expenditure has increased by these amounts.
