Conference Vision

"The Many Paths conference will allow for the development of networks, sharing of ideas and identifying needs in order to better develop the skills of the professionals working in farm succession planning to create better outcomes for farm families"

If you attend, you can expect to be challenged!

Presentations, discussion panels, break out groups and case studies will highlight the different approaches being taken and outcomes being achieved. Information from different professions will highlight opportunities and challenges and will also provide the opportunity to network with many experienced succession planners.

It will include -
  • Hearing from people who are currently working in the field from across Australia, across a range of professions
  • Personal experiences from the professionals and their views on successful succession planning and change management
  • "Good" Practice (what works and why) and practical techniques
  • Interdisciplinary approaches (teams of professionals working together)
  • Understanding the range of people blockages and barriers in the farm family businesses which may make the process more than just providing technical advice. Monitoring if the process has worked.
  • Tools available to be used by the professionals, and understanding how the use of simple business tools can help the succession planning process
  • Lifecycles of businesses and business phases, and how succession planning fits with these.
