The AHTC of South Australia is part of the national network of Rural Industry Training Councils. Its role is to provide advice to the government on the training needs of the horticulture and agriculture industries. The site contains an outline of the training plan, and the various training packages available from the Rural Training Council of Australia. Many of the sections are links to the RTCA site, as the Australia-wide council is the main provider of services for rural training. The site also includes the 'Short Course Directory for Primary Producers', which contains information on courses covering twenty different areas, such as bee-keeping, forestry, butchering, and business skills.
