ATSC also collects and supplies seeds around the world (with more than 1200 species of mainly of Australian seeds currently held in storage) and maintains the TREDAT database (recording trials utilising Australian species, with growth data from these trials accumulated to establish a centralised performance register). ATSC also offers training in tree seed technology, with short courses in tree breeding are conducted from time to time.
