Key performance indicators for 2010-11

Primary key performance indicators in the Honeybee R&D plan are:

• Significant progress towards a 20 per cent increase in beekeeper profitability compared to 2007
• Progress towards a 20 per cent growth in packaged bee sales compared to 2010.

Primary key performance indicators in the Pollination R&D plan are:

• Best practice surveillance systems designed, in place and working (determined by feedback from Plant Health Australia / Animal Health Australia and beekeepers)
• An agreed list of Australian plant industries to be fully informed of the economic benefits to their industry of optimal pollination, and the importance of protecting pollination resources
• Key Australian plant industries aware of the importance of pollination services.
