The RIRDC Horse R&D Program assists in developing the Australian horse industry and enhancing its export potential.

The Program is funded by voluntary industry revenue and matching RIRDC funds. The industry is seeking to formalise statutory arrangements for its R&D funding.

Research investments are guided by the RIRDC Horse R&D Advisory Committee, following the Horse R&D Plan 2006 to 2011.
