Name |
Production of TALGA lavender industry newsletter |
Summary |
To provide a 4 x per annum Lavender newsletter with a more appropriate technical content that what is available at present. The project will use the old TALGA journal and its membership as a base. The journal will be increased in size by 20% and technical content will be increased to a minimum of 30%. Technical content will be sourced from research and reports from Australia and overseas, and it is anticipated each publication will carry a contribution from RIRDC and will be finally approved by RIRDC.
At the same time the circulation is to be increased by 25% and distribution extended to tertiary and research institutions, primary industry media and appropriate government departments. Agricultural manufacturers and suppliers will be included in the increased distribution with a view to them accommodating the lavender industry and as a possible source of technical articles.
These steps are expected to create a greater awareness of the Lavender industry and hopefully an interest in its research opportunities. |
