The New Rural Industries Association program has been established to create an environment for the development of new, innovative Australian rural industries through cooperation, coordination and education.
Strategic plan
A five-year strategic plan for NRIA is under development and will be finalised concurrently with the establishment of the membership base. The NRIA is planning a major exposition/convention in late 2010. With a membership base to support developing and determining strategic objectives, this strategic plan will then be updated annually.
Sources of funds
The NRIA alliance will be initially funded by RIRDC with growing support from other government funding programs, private sector support and membership fees.
