Winner of the New South Wales Award 2004 Rebecca Arnott recently said, “I believe in making the most of any opportunity and the $15,000 Bursary offered as part of the RIRDC Rural Women’s Award was too good an opportunity to pass up”
“What I completely underestimated was the exposure, the inspirational people I would meet and the career opportunities that the Award has opened up,” she said.
Award national coordinator Edwina Clowes said similar comments have been made by many of the participants in the RIRDC Rural Women’s Awards.
Now in its sixth year, the Award 2005 will provide a Bursary of $15,000 for each of the seven State and Territory winners’ and a Development Award of $5,000 for one runner up in each State. It also provides the opportunity for all State and Territory winners to attend the prestigious Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course.
