Summary
This report examines market
opportunities for products relevant to commercial farm forestry development
in Australia, ranging from hardwood and softwood sawlogs, posts, poles
and pulp, to niche markets such as sandalwood, and emerging markets such
as carbon and bioenergy. The report analyses existing and potential product
markets into which farm forestry can supply resources, and the regions
where this is most achievable. Based on this analysis market opportunities
are ranked – on a region by region basis for larger scale markets, and
on a national basis for smaller scale or niche markets and for emerging
markets.
