Avian influenza: improved diagnostics for detecting antibodies to H5N1
Summary The ability to rapidly detect flock exposure to H5N1 will play a major role in containing spread of the disease thereby enabling eradication.
Deliverables of proposed research: A cost effective diagnostic test which enables mass screening of poultry flocks to detect whether vaccinated birds have been exposed to field stains of H5N1.
