Updating the National Meat Chicken EMS
Summary The RIRDC Chicken Meat Program would like to update the National EMS to include more information of monitoring water and energy use with the aim of improving efficiency. This project will update the current National EMS manual and associated training materials to enable trained facilitators to run workshops with meat chicken producers enabling them to produce or update their own EMS manual for their property. Factsheets on water and energy use efficiency on meat chicken farms will also be developed to assist in educating producers and the wider industry on improving these areas of management.
