Objective summary Allay industry concerns regarding the merits of an independent pasture variety testing scheme
by conducting a pilot programme to demonstrate the following:
•Demonstration of process integrity
•Objectivity and accuracy of results generated demonstrated by acceptance and use
by seed companies
•Value of multiple sites with numerous (all) link entries
•Opportunity for Trial Participants’ oversight of the process
•Ability of AWI (Pastures Australia), Trial Participants and Researcher to work
cooperatively together.
•Increase seed company trust in AWI (Pastures Australia) long term objectives and
improve their working relationship.
•Value of data generated to downstream supply chain participants
•Develop a proposal presenting the opportunities / issues from expansion of the
regional testing network in partnership with the seed companies
